Featured Author
Adrian Searle
Adrian Searle is a journalist and author who writes on a range of historical topics, unearthing previously hidden aspects of history in a search for the truth. Born and bred on the Isle of Wight, he returned here in 1984 to edit a local newspaper and has worked in a freelance capacity since 1989.
His previous titles include Churchill’s Last Wartime Secret, revealing a hushed-up German raid on an Isle of Wight radar station.

Other Books
The House Party
At the intimate house-warming party for her glorious ‘grand design’ on the Island, Kathleen confides in her best friend Beth that she is terrified of one of their close friends, but daren’t reveal which one. The next day Kathleen’s body is found at the foot of a cliff. All the friends have secrets they are desperate to hide, but only one of them is ready to kill to keep theirs safe…
Churchill’s Last Wartime Secret
Adrian Searle sets to challenge the assertion that no German force set foot on Britain during WWII (except for The Channel Islands.)
The Scandalous Lady W
When Lord and Lady Worsley divorced it shocked the nation. A true tale of Georgian scandal, Rubenhold unearths the story of Lady Worsley and her salacious affairs. The Worsleys resided at Appuldurcome House on the Isle of Wight.
When I look back I am so impressed again with the life-giving power of literature.
