100 Treasures and Curiosities From Carisbrooke Castle Museum
2023 marks the 125th anniversary of the founding of Carisbrooke Castle Museum by HRH Princess Beatrice. To commemorate this Medina Publishing is collaborating with the Museum to produce a book featuring 100 artefacts from their collection of over 35,000 items connected to the Isle of Wight. From the stone age right up to the 21st century, these objects reveal some of the island’s most historic and significant stories as well as a few unusual and quirky tales from our past.
You can be part of the celebrations by sponsoring an object. Pick an artefact of your choice for £125 (or take a lucky dip for £100) and you, your organisation, or a recipient of your choice will receive the following:
- A limited edition copy of the bookÂ
- A sponsor’s credit line in the first edition of the book and on the object’s display label for the year after the book’s publication
- An invitation to a sponsors’ launch event at the museum
- Membership of the Friends of Carisbrooke Castle Museum for 1 year from the book’s publication date
*Whilst it is hoped that the selection of objects will all be included in the book, there may be necessary editorial changes that exempt certain items, any affected sponsors will be notified.
**Please note that the price is for sponsorship and NOT purchase of the object itself (you knew that)
