The Island is the new murder mystery from Isle of Wight writer Mary Grand, which follows her popular thriller The House Party, one of the biggest sellers in Medina Bookshop in 2020. Both books are set on the Isle of Wight.
Juliet returns to visit her sick father and to be reunited with her 3 sisters. As her father lies dying he warns her there’s a killer on the loose. He tells Juliet that he confided in son-in-law Rhys. When a man leaving Rhys’s church is run down by a car and the finger of suspicion is pointed at Juliet she realises she need to uncover the secret.
