Listen: The Elves and the Shoemaker by The Brothers Grimm

April 24, 2020

"There was once a shoemaker, who worked very hard and was very honest: but still he could not earn enough to live upon; and at last all he had in the world was gone, save just leather enough to make one pair of shoes."

Listen along as Medina Books' very own Katie reads the classic fairytale, The Elves and the Shoemaker.

When the shoemaker faces hardship, someone helps him get his business back and improves his life. Who are the helpers, and how will the cobbler and his wife thank them? A short tale, but still full of magic and mystery, The Elves and the Shoemaker is a great example of how we can all help each other.
