We are excited to announce that we’ll be reopening the shop on Friday 26th June. The team are currently busy behind the scenes getting everything safe to welcome you all back. Things will look a little different and we ask that you please help to keep our staff and customers safe by following the signs and notices in store:
NEW OPENING HOURS: To start with we will only be open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays between 10am and 4pm. We will close between 12.30pm and 1pm so we can do a clean and tidy of the shop
LIMITED NUMBERS: Only 3 customers will be permitted in the shop at one time to allow for social distancing
HAND SANITISER: We ask all customers to use the hand sanitiser by the door before handling any books. To keep handling of books to a minimum please don’t hesitate to ask a member of staff to get a book from the shelf for you
CARD ONLY: Please pay by card instead of cash, and use contactless where possible. To keep everyone safe, please put your items on the counter and then stand back while we pop your items through the till. We will then stand back to allow you to complete payment
DELIVERIES AND CLICK & COLLECT You can still buy your books on line and have then delivered directly to your door or collect in the shop

We are thrilled to announce that we are able to reinstate orders for most physical books from our online shop.
Any title that we are currently unable to source at this time is still available for backorder, and we will contact you as soon as we are able to send this item out to you.
If there is a title that you cannot see on our website, please don’t hesitate to contact us. It’s very likely we will be able to get hold of it for you!

***Update 30th March***
As you may already be aware, Medina Books has had to make the unfortunate decision to shut the shop doors to the public in order to protect our staff and customers.
We had hoped that our new website would serve as a replacement for all our loyal customers during this difficult time. So, it is with a heavy heart that we announce that we are now no longer able to fulfil orders as our major supplier has understandably chosen to suspend all deliveries of physical items to ensure the safety of their staff.
We are working hard to identify safe solutions to enable our customers to continue to support us. To keep up to date with everything that is going on, and to read the reviews and recommendations written by our staff, please do visit our blog.
We are also now offering vouchers for you to purchase which can be redeemed when our service has returned to normal.
You may also backorder any title on our website, and we will fulfil this order as soon as we are able to.

Welcome to our brand new website! We are so pleased that you have found us.
An update on our services in light of the most recent government restrictions:
Like many other businesses in the UK, we have had to adapt quickly to the ever-changing situation in light of the coronavirus outbreak. As a result of this, our bricks and mortar shop in Cowes, Isle of Wight is temporarily closed to ensure the safety of our customers and staff members.
Thankfully, we were in a very fortunate position in that we had already begun work on our website, and we are thrilled that we have been able to provide you with the website ahead of schedule. Now you can keep your bookshelves well stocked during isolation!
We will endeavour to fulfil all orders as quickly as possible, however, we ask for your patience while the team are working from home. Orders for some of our more obscure titles may take a little longer to process.
Please be aware that we are trying to upload our full stock as soon as possible, however, if there is a title that you don’t see on the site please don’t hesitate to contact us – we will likely be able to get hold of it for you.
In addition to our online bookshop, we will also be regularly updating our blog and providing you with reviews, recommendations and interviews. The bookshop team are passionate about books and we’re always excited to recommend our latest read.
