Papa Owl is based on Professor George Lilley, who was known as Owl Man. He was a real inventor, engineer and grandad. Professor Lilley, who died on the Isle of Wight in 2015 (aged 95) was best connected with the design of supersonic airliner, Concorde. This book is written by Professor Lilley’s son, Michael, in memory of his father.
