As it’s Christmas we’ve included two wonderful books. The first is ‘Babel’ by R.F Kuang, a fantasy set in 1830s England. Being compared to Philip Pullman she is a young author being feted all over the world as one to watch (she’s also a pal of James who works in the bookshop).
The second selection is the latest of 13 Christmas poems published annually by ex laureate Carol Ann Duffy, each one a magical evocation of the spirit of the season. Happy Christmas Reading!
